So a creative, talented, social guy from Miami fell in love with a quirky, foodie gal from Seattle and Boom the rest was history... No, but in reality after that first date things just all fell into place. Moving in together after a few months and blending our families and friends, it was just always easy. After many trips, baseball games, moving together twice, countless meals, and mini adventures, it became clear this relationship was not going anywhere.

Funny story for those that don't know. We decided we wanted to "start trying" but figured it would take a while with Haley's health history. Fast forward one month and Haley was planning a surprise to tell Rasheed they were expecting, still in shock it happened so fast! (what a blessing!!). She told him on a Tuesday night after he had been out of town for work while Haley had known for three days. Commence all the tears of joy and excitement! Rasheed was acting so off it was confusing. Little did Haley know it was because that Friday Rasheed was going to purpose, something he had been planning for months.

The story of our proposal is and will always be my favorite fairy tale. Rasheed rented out Haley's favorite local movie theater in West Seattle and tricked her into thinking they were filming content for his social media. As we sat there waiting for the screenplay to start, suddenly it lit up with my brother and nephews faces. Then the next 15 min played out of all our loved ones boasting about me and why they loved me. TEARS were falling. Never in my life have I felt so loved. After the video ended he surprised me with some of our family and closest friends that had been hiding on the upper deck watching it all unfold. Then as I looked back Rasheed was down on his knee and I said the easiest yes of my life. After the proposal we ended up telling our closest family that day that we were expecting as well because we were just soo excited. So while we couldn't wait to get married, we wanted to wait until after our little one arrived. This last year and a half has been amazing, BIG, challenging, full of love, laughs, tears, and everything we need to kick start this next stage in life.

The last 7+ months we have been entering a new chapter together as parents to our little Rowan. He is the best of both of us and we cant wait to make this little family official. It's about time Haley gets the same last name as her two favorite men.
